Its been nearly a month and a half since I raced. And while I needed the break, I’m realy to race again. Tomorrow’s 10K is sort of a practice run for the half marathon, which is now only two weeks away.
My last 10K was bad, so I expect to set another PR. As long as I don’t go out too fast I will be fine.
I think I’m looking forward to what’s after the race more though. Doug and I are going out to breakfast at the Pancake Cafe! Its our favorite breakfast place, though we only go there about once a year. We just don’t go out to breakfast very often. We tried to go there on Monday before going to Milwaukee, but it was packed and we didn’t have time to wait, so we went to Perkins instead.
I decided to go to Fleet Feet this afternoon for the early packet pickup so all I need to do before the race is get my timing chip. Maybe I can sleep a little longer now, who knows. I’m pumped about my shirt! Its pink! Maybe that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but I have lots of white race tshirts. I love my Diva Dash tshirt because its not white and I love my Fight For Life tshirt for that same reason.
Another perk of getting my stuff early is I can wear my tshirt! I wouldn’t usually wear it, but I like it so much I can’t wait.
