I’m starting to think about what my goals will be after the half marathon. I do feel confident that I could keep training into a full, except for the problem of winter. I can’t run a winter marathon because we can’t afford to travel, and because I can’t do good training on the treadmill.
After the half I’ll continue training outside and do a few fall races, depending on the weather. It might be tough though, as my lungs have already reacted to cooler temps the past week, and it wasn’t even that cold.
After the fall races are done, I’ll try to maintain a good mileage base on the treadmill once I’m forced inside.
Of course things can change, but I’d love it if I could train for the Madison half marathon next May and then a full in the fall, Fox Cities maybe? But thats really far out and lots can happen. In fact, I’m certain it won’t end up like that. But I need to start somewhere.
