Its easy to lose motivation after a big race. But I still have a goal, which has kept my motivation intact! My goal all along has been to run 100 miles in a month. I’ve gotten close over the summer with miles in the 90s. I thought I’d make it in September but we were busy and then I got sick.

I have to make it this month. Now that its getting colder and I’m done with my goal race, October is my last chance.

Well I’m making it this month! I’ve run 11.5 miles since the half marathon. I didn’t run for about four or five days after the Madison half. I’m not sure I could have run right after that race. But after this half, I ran the next day! That definitely shows the strength I’ve gained!

So on this goal I have 14 miles to go! I really don’t feel like running, but my goal is keeping me going. I do have a couple races planned in November too, so I need to keep running!
