Madison has several farmer’s markets and the biggest is on the capitol square every Saturdays. Today was the first outdoor market of the year. We love the farmer’s market, though we didn’t ever go to the indoor farmer’s market.
We lived in Madison five years before we finally discovered the farmer’s market last year. This year we were quite excited to go back. Last year I got my plants there and will do the same this year. We enjoy seeing what produce is available and always love the bakery treats. I also LOVE to partake in farm fresh cheese curds.
We also had some fun walking up by the Capitol. Allie particularly enjoyed the revolving doors.
We brought home a pound of rhubarb, half a pound of asparagus, some homemade jelly and half a bag of cheese curds. The cookie, brownie and half the cheese curds didn’t make it home!
On tap for tomorrow is toast with the yummy jelly, baking with rhubarb and cooking up the asparagus. Yum!
