I ended up taking 331 pictures in Vegas. I deleted about 60 of them, which left some 270 pictures. The last of them are various places along the strip that didn’t fit in any of the other posts.
I managed to leave the Welcome to Vegas picture out! Funny to put it in the wrap up post, I suppose.
The inside of the Cosmopolitan. When we were there, there was a pretty big protest going on outside and they were berating people for walking in and thanking them for coming out. It was pretty nasty. I looked up after we got home and found that workers there have been working without a contract for two years.
When we took the monorail we headed up to the LVH since it was right on the line.
Old Vegas glitz to the max here! It was nice though.
Elvis was here!
Later on that same monorail trip, we had to walk through Harrah’s to get out to the street and back to the Mirage.
We got lost. Its so easy to get turned around inside the gargantuan complexes. We made our way toward the check in area, and thats when we found that the hotel check in desk isn’t at the front of some of the hotels!
A few from Treasure Island. We walked through on our way out to the pirates show out front.
Couldn’t take too many pictures though, as my camera battery died and I hadn’t thought to take my spare.
And the pirate ship.
The show’s special effects were surprisingly real.
Outside the Bellagio with the Eiffel Tower back drop. I wanted to check out the inside of Paris, but we didn’t get there.
They had the Arc de Triomphe too! We weren’t too impressed that it was covered in advertisement though.
Fountains and statues at Ceasar’s Palace
Ceasar’s Palace was massive. It really drove home the large scale of the strip when we were walking for the first time on Friday morning for what seemed like a long way already and we were still by Ceasar’s Palace!
A few more pictures along the strip.
And the Strip at night.
Took a few last pictures at the airport of the mural depicting the old Vegas.
I can’t wait to go back.
