We had a very active weekend! We had a lot of fun on both Saturday and Sunday, but I’m starting with Sunday’s activities here. Even though we didn’t get around to getting advance tickets, we decided today to check out the Midwest Horse Fair. We were so glad we did! It was just a bummer that we couldn’t get there earlier and also that it rained.
First thing we saw the end of a show in the main coliseum.
Allie, like all little girls I’m sure, is fascinated by horsies. She loves them. We loved seeing her delight.
After the show, we walked to the stable area closest to the coliseum because it had started raining hard. Neither kid seemed to care about the rain though.
The next show after the one we saw was going to be miniatures. We were headed back over to see the end, but we saw one of them being led back to their area. We missed the show, so we went to see them in their stalls. So cute!
Most of the horses stalls had signs saying not to touch. Makes sense of course! Well Allie got to pet a miniature named Jaguar, whose owner was in with her. Too bad I didn’t get a picture of Allie and Jaguar because he smile was huge!
After that we went back to the coliseum where we ran into Bridget and her girls. So we sat by them and watched the obstacle course.
Unfortunately it was hard to get good pictures because the horsies were so fast.
The last part was called “Liberty,” where horsies went in the ring and just got to run. It was gorgeous!
And a family picture to wrap it up!
We had a lot of fun. Next time we go, we’ll get there with more time! There was so much there that we didn’t get to see!
