Our family adventures

Celebration day

Today was Peyton’s birthday celebration and it was so much fun! We were going to do the children’s museum first and then lunch, but as we tend to do, we got out of the house later than planned. So we went to lunch first. Ella’s Deli has been around forever… I remember going there when I was a kid. Its become a sort of tradition for us to go there on special occasions. We love riding the carousel when the weather is nice.

Peyton was mesmerized with all the stuff.

Allie told the waitress it was Peyton’s birthday and she brought him a balloon with a piece of candy and a coupon for a free carousel ride. He loved the balloon!

And since it was a special occasion, we got a hot fudge sundae for dessert for all four of us to share. Peyton didn’t seem to like it at first, but he caught on!

Then it was on to the children’s museum. We hadn’t been there in a couple years. We had a membership once upon a time and its pretty expensive to go without the membership. But this was a special occasion. We do plan on getting a membership so we can go all the time. The kids really loved it. Sadly we had to leave when Peyton needed to go home and get to napping.
